BROMSGROVE foodie Emma Dalton has smashed her latest challenge to eat her own height in Subway sandwiches.

The 27-year-old is 5ft 4ins tall which meant she would have to consume at least five footlongs and two thirds of a six-inch.

But she ate six of them in less than 30 minutes and then carried on, finally stopping after 36 minutes and 46 seconds when she had completed the eighth footlong.

Emma, who was featured in The Standard when she completed Big Dave’s Breakfast, varied the flavours of the subs and included ham, turkey and chicken in her line up.

Another dimension was added to the challenge when her friend and fellow food challenger Zermatt Tge attempted the same feat in Singapore at the same time.

She will now have to wait until Wednesday when he is due to post his video to see how he had done.

After the challenge Emma told The Standard: “It was one of the better challenges I have done because it’s all done fresh so it was very nice to eat.

“Some fast food has a lot of salt in it but this one didn’t,” she added.

Apparently there is no World Record yet set as to how many subs one person has consumed in a certain time which has given Emma some food for thought.

“I felt pretty good after eight so maybe I could set a record – I think I could manage ten,” she said.
