THERE will be plenty of live entertainment at Bromsgrove Folk Festival, which gets under way this week.
The event, at The Bowling Green Inn, Shaw Lane, Stoke Prior, will start on Thursday at 8pm with the pre-festival Singin’, Suppin’ and Session.
The opening night is free and features an eclectic music mix in the pub and an acoustic open might session in the mini marquee.
Then next Friday (July 8) from 7.30pm, there will be sets from Fairfield, Anthony John Clarke, Steve Turner, Vicki Swan, Jonny Dyer, Rory McLeod and the Familiar Strangers.
The Saturday sees Steamchicken, BarlowCree, Mad Jocks and Englishmen, Kristina Olsen and Jez Lowe and Steve Tilston take to the stage.
And next Sunday, there will be the morning walk, more singin’ and suppin’, dance demonstrations, the World dry foam flinging championships and entertainment in the mini marquee.
Admission is free on Thursday and Sunday, tickets for the Friday night are £24. £18 for Saturday until 6pm, £26 for the session after 6pm or £37 for the whole day.
Tickets for £47 for the whole weekend are available and there is camping available.
