A WOMAN was awoken by her neighbour and found her Campervan on fire on her driveway just yards from her Bromsgrove home.

The blaze, which happened at 4.30am this morning (Thursday) in Breakback Road, spread quickly to a nearby car.

As well as completely destroying the Campervan, the car and a property was also damaged.

The Campervan’s owner, who does not want to be named, said: “I was in total shock – I thought it was a dream to start with.

“It’s not the kind of thing you expect to wake up to or to happen to you.

“The fire was only a few feet away from my property and could have easily led to a house fire.

“I can’t believe someone would do this – it’s put me in such a dangerous situation.”

One fire crew from Bromsgrove attended and promptly extinguished the blaze.

West Mercia Police confirmed they were investigating the incident and said it was believed there were three youths, aged between 14 and 16, in the area at the time.

A spokesperson said: “We would appeal to them to contact police to help us with our enquiries.”

She also appealed for witnesses or anyone with any information to call police on 101, quoting incident number 59s of April 14.
