STAFF at Boots in Bromsgrove cycled 120 miles in-store on an exercise bike to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
The distance was chosen as it was the farthest Midlands store in Leominster in the east to the one the farthest west in Leamington.
Customers donated funds over the two days – last Friday and Saturday (August 26 and 27) – when a lot of coffee morning events were also held.
Healthcare advisor Sarah Tipper said: “There’s only a few of us so 120 miles over two days was going to be a challenge.
“But, everyone pulled together and we had a good response from the staff.
“We are always looking to improve the health of our customers so having an exercise bike was quite appropriate.”
She thanked Altered Images gym, which loaned the bike to the store so employees could undertake the fund-raiser.
