BROMSGROVE’S Blue Cross is urging residents to donate bric-a-brac for its annual summer fete and dog show on September 5.
The charity, which provides support for pet owners who cannot afford private veterinary treatment, helps to find homes for unwanted animals, and educate the public in the responsibilities of animal ownership.
For the fete, the charity is seeking good quality China, glass, toys, and other household items which are no longer wanted.
Neil Edwards, manager at Blue Cross, said the fete promised to be an exciting event.
He added: “It’s not just a great day out, but funds raised really help us take care for local homeless pets and find them new homes.
“All donations are gratefully received and we hope to see lots of supporters on the day.”
The money raised from the day will be used to help unwanted pets such as Tia, an 18-month-old staffie who has been at the centre since February.
Neil said: “We hope to find Tia a home very soon – she’s beautiful.”
Any items for donation for the event can be dropped into the centre on Wildmoor Lane, Catshill, Bromsgrove.
