A DOCTORS’ practice in Belbroughton has received funding to revamp its premises and to enable it to take on two more paid GPs.
The Glebeland Surgery has been given the cash by the NHS England Primary Care Infrastructure Fund and work has already started on an expansion of the practice building.
Once the work has been completed, the practice will have an extra three consultation rooms and that will mean more appointments will be available to registered patients.
Dr Robert Krick, GP at The Glebeland Surgery, said he was pleased to receive the funding.
“The developments that we have planned will mean that we’re able to implement improvements that will enhance the experience of patients when visiting the practice, by making services much more accessible.”
The new rooms should be ready by the first week of February.
