A BELBROUGHTON antiques dealer will be appearing on hit BBC television show today (Wednesday).
Phil Sims, the owner of Sims Vintage on Stourbridge Road, will be one of the guests staring on today’s episode of the Antiques Roadtrip airing at 4.30pm on BBC 1.
Phil said the cast and crew from the programme visited the store back in September and were filming for about six hours.
He added they bought some interesting items and one of them would probably raise some eyebrows.
“It is a perfectly innocent item of its time – it is just what it is called and modern innuendos,” he said.
“There was no off-screen bargaining – I was pleasantly surprised it was a real negotiation not something that is done for the camera, it was real.”
Phil said for a new business is was a great opportunity to appear on the show and get the word out there.
He added: “It is quite an accolade for a television show like this to come to your antiques shop.”
And if you cannot get to see the show today, you could always log onto www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer and catch it there.
