ARTRIX will play host to a visit from The Benyounes String Quartet next Friday (March 18) as part of Bromsgrove Concerts’ 53rd season of live chamber music.

The event at 8pm will feature the prize-winning quartet which was formed while the members were studying at the Royal Northern College of Music in 2007.

They have since gone on to win prestigious international competitions.

Next Friday, they will be playing the quartet by Worcester composer Ian Venables which was commissioned by Droitwich Concert Club for its 25th anniversary in 1998.

Also in their programme will be a Mozart quartet, full of grace and good humour, and Debussy’s colourful but only string quartet.

Tickets, a t£17 (£3 concessions – registered disabled, unemployed or full time student over 25) are available from Artrix at www.artrix.co.uk or by calling 01527 577330.

Young people under 25 admitted free to all concerts thanks to the Cavatina Chamber Music Trust.
