PUPILS from Witton Middle School took part in a Pumpkin Tales Day.
It began with the children evaluating short suspense stories and then used what they had discovered to write their own.
Each class then wrote their winning story onto a pumpkin.
Staff and pupils alike thoroughly enjoyed the day.
One member of staff said: “The best satisfaction I felt was seeing some of our more reluctant writers showing real enthusiasm which resulted in them producing a good quality piece of written work.”
