A VARIETY of workshops are being launched at Bromsgrove’s Artrix today (Friday) for adults, children and even babies.
Dance Baby! – a fun movement class for grown-ups and those up to the age of three – begin today. They use sensory props and playing movement games help develop rhythm and co-ordination.
Then from Monday (April 11), adults can try ballet and belly-dancing or learn some sparkling tunes by joining up with the SongStars Showchoir. The Showchoir, is led by professional teacher and former stage singer Estelle Williams, sees participants learn a wide range of pop songs, show and film tunes and give regular performances.
Future stage stars aged six to nine can take a bow at the Out of the Box juniors acting courses on Tuesday evenings and there are Out of the Box senior sessions on Saturday afternoons for ten to 17-year-olds.
Young singers from five to nine can join the Little Songstars Showchoir and a Songstars Junior Showchoir caters for ages ten to 15.
The Adult Ballet Beginners Class is an excellent introduction to ballet and the intermediate class includes some pointe work, floor exercises and barre work.
TC Peppercorn, Artrix’ engagement and learning officer said: “These courses and workshops offer a fantastic opportunity to anyone who fancies a new challenge this spring. We hope people will come along and try a taster session before booking.”
