ARMED police were called to Canberra Close in Bromsgrove after reports of a man wielding a firearm.
A Sidemoor man was arrested yesterday (Thursday) when officers attended a property after fears were raised regarding a man’s safety.
The 36-year-old man is currently in custody while enquiries are ongoing. So far no firearm has been recovered.
Sgt Richard Field, from Bromsgrove Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I would like to reassure the local community today’s incident was isolated and there was no threat to the wider public at any time.
“Armed officers were in the area at the time as a precaution.”
