A BROMSGROVE charity which has raised more than £150,000 for neo-natal units across the Midlands is appealing for local businesses to help it ‘drive’ the fund-raising even further forward.
Libby Mae’s Little Angels is hoping companies will come forward to sponsor a van so it can get to even more events and raise even more cash for the cause.
Husband and wife Richard and Charlotte Sharratt set up the charity Libby Mae’s Little Angels in 2013 to raise awareness and funding for Midland hospitals in memory of their baby daughter.
Libby died in 2013 just two weeks after her birth following complications and her brave parents have been working tirelessly to raise funds in her memory ever since.
The charity is now growing at such a pace the couple need to fund a van so they can run it more effectively.
Charlotte said: “We’ve managed just using our own car or relying on friends and family in the past but now the charity is growing so fast we need a van to be more self-sufficient.
“A van would enable us to collect donations and drop off equipment at the various fares and events we regularly staff for the charity.
“We now want to try and raise £8,000 for the van as it will help the charity greatly.
“It doesn’t matter whether it is one that we can get cheaply because it is a few years old or if there a dealership somewhere able to help us with a brand new one – but whatever we get will make a huge difference to how effectively we can run in the future.”
Any companies that can help with the van should email email@example.com or call Charlotte on 07584 019334.
