BUILDING works to the new Bromsgrove Railway Station are being carried out at 2am according to angry residents.
Peter Wooton, of Railway Walk, has complained to Worcester County Council about the noise from the site which he said went on until nearly 4am last Thursday (November 19).
He was woken by what sounded like drilling and knocking posts and girders into the ground. Mr Wooton said he had to go to a friend’s house in order to get a few hours sleep in time for a full day at work.
“I am disgusted that they were working at this time in the early morning not just because it woke me up but there’s lots of other residents, including children, who must have heard it too.
“I have made a complaint because this can’t happen again, especially in the week.”
A spokesperson from Worcestershire County Council said: “We have looked into the Bromsgrove Railway Station enquiry and officers who have been dealing with the development have been notified. Complaints will be picked up through our allocation system and be looked into in due course.”
