Alvechurch Village Hall sets the stage for clever crime play

Bromsgrove Editorial 15th Apr, 2016 Updated: 17th Oct, 2016   0

THERE will be madcap humour, clever wordplay and general silliness at Alvechurch Village Hall when Inspector Drake and the Perfekt Crime is staged.

The production, a comedy by David Tristram, runs from Thursday (April 21) to next Saturday (April 23) with performances at 7.30pm.

The show centres around Drake, in his final case, and the hapless Sgt Plod as they both try to unravel a very twisty plot.

Who is the mysterious Dr Short and why did he marry a warthog? Has he murdered his fourth wife – or did she murder him first? Has he really got two daughters called Sabrina, or is one of them telling porkies? Where is Frank the taxi driver? What was the Pope doing in the woods? And perhaps most importantly of all, why is there a lamp-post in the living room?

Tickets at £7 (£6 concessions), available from Alvechurch Post Office, by emailing [email protected] or by calling 0121 447 7071.
