70-year-old woman has her handbag snatched in Hollywood

AN ELDERLY woman was left shaken and upset after thieves snatched her handbag in Hollywood.

The 70-year-old was outside the Select and Save, Hollywood Lane, when the incident happened at 1.15pm on Thursday (December 11).

She had just left the supermarket and walked to her car, where she put her handbag on her car seat.

As she drove away, a man opened the passenger door and grabbed the bag.




He was white, in his early 20s and was wearing a black jacket, black tracksuit bottoms with a white stripe down the side, and a

black woolly hat. He fled with the bag towards Corbett Road.


The woman was uninjured in the incident but was left feeling shaken and upset.
