BROMSGROVE folk club will welcome blues, folk and contemporary singer-songwriter Mike Silver for their latest concert on Thursday (August 25).
The group meets at Catshill Social Club, Meadow Road, from 8pm to 10.30pm and admission is £7 for members, £3.50 for under 25s and £9 for non-members.
In his career spanning six decades, Mike has performed with artists such as Charles Aznavour, Ralph McTell and Ray Thomas of The Moody Blues.
Mike was also only the second British artist signed to Elton John’s Rocket Records and released his first solo album ‘Troubadour’ under this label.
His musical style has been distinguished by crystal-clear guitar work and a consistently high standard of musical storytelling.
Bob Bignell, from Bromsgrove Folk Club, said everyone was looking forward to hearing Mike’s ‘endless supply of stories’ and ‘finely wrought songs of experience’.
