Midland Sinfonia to bring classical music to Alvechurch tomorrow

CLASSICAL music fans can catch the Appassionata Harp and Flute in Alvechurch tomorrow (Saturday).

The concert, at The Ark, St Laurence Church, is being given by The Midland Sinfonia.

Anna Christensen, on harp, and Rachel Holt, flute, will play a varied programme throughout the evening from 7.30pm.

That will include Marcello’s Sonata in F, Couperin’s Canaries and La Morinette, John Marson’s Suite for Flute and Harp, John Rutter’s Suite Antique and Debussy’s Syrinx.




A spokesperson said: “This professional and popular duo offers a stimulating and wide-ranging programme to illustrate the versatility and charm of this combination.”

Tickets, which are £13 on the door or £12 in advance, are available online at www.midlandsinfonia.co.uk or from The Village Greengrocer, Alvechurch.


Full-time students go free with an NUS card and schoolchildren go free with an accompanying adult.
