RESIDENTS can experience ‘Mars under the stars’ at an outdoor screening of The Martian at Avoncroft Museum on Friday (September 2).
The film centres around astronaut Mark Watney (Matt Damon) who, armed with just meagre supplies, has to battle for survival on a hostile planet in a bid to find a way to signal back to Earth so he can save himself and the planet.
Viewers are urged to take along picnic blankets, chairs and their favourite nibbles to enjoy while they watch this award-winning film.
The showing is being staged in partnership with Artrix and there will also be a chance to listen to live music, purchase the odd tipple from the bar and gaze at the real stars with members of Bromsgrove Astronomical Society who are taking along their telescopes.
Doors open at 7.45pm and the film starts at 8.30pm.
