COMEDIAN Lee Hurst who was once a regular on hit TV shows, including Have I Got News For You and They Think It’s All Over, will be taking to the stage at Bromsgrove’s Artrix on Sunday (January 24) as part of his 2016 stand-up tour.
Lee’s career began when producer Harry Thompson needed a warm-up act for the pilot of the comedy sports quiz and hired Lee to do it.
Unbeknown to Lee at that time, he actually wanted him to be on the show and, although he had no sporting prowess and he knew next to nothing about football, he won over close to 12million viewers each week with his quick-witted banter.
He retired in 2000 but is now back with his brand new show Comedy Show No.9 which is billed as ‘a night of laughs with that bald bloke you thought was dead’.
Tickets for the performance, which starts at 7.30pm, are £16.50 and are available by visiting www.artrix.co.uk or by calling 01527 577330.
The show is suitable for those aged 16 and over.
