BELLA Italia’s new menu has gone down a treat as they ditch the American vibe and committed to a more traditional Italian after feedback from the customers.
I visited the restaurant on Saturday (April 30) to give to get a feel for what they have to offer and i must say the improvements have paid off.
We had the mozzarella garlic bread to star, a must have for all Italian dinners claiming to serve the nations delights, and found it to be much better than the last time i visited.
The old recipe left you feel very underwhelmed and it was the flip of a coin as to whether you got a soggy base bread or a tough as carboard starter. The improvements have paid off as this time the garlic bread was just right and great value for money at just £.595, for eight slices.
I then had the Polpette, that is a classic spaghetti and meatballs to the rest of us, which was bursting with flavour and was quite a mountain to finish as the portion size is so impressive. they have clearly not held back on splashing out for the ingredients.
The whole experience was very enjoyable, from the food itself to the quick and friendly service. We were greeted as soon as we came in and the staff were very attentive, especially our server Amy who came to check we were happy.
supervisor Aaliyah Thomas said: “The issues with the garlic bread were a common complaint among customers so we have tried to improve that and the new recipe really ensures a better product.
“All the changes are based on what our dinners have wanted to see done. Some of our dishes have been steered away from the more american ingredients and gone back to a more authentic dish. Our Carbonara is now more creamy with a few more Italian seasonings
“We have a great new range of pizzas now as well because they have always been popular with the customers.”
