THE ORCHESTRA of St John will be staged a concert entitled Marvellous Mozart next Saturday (October 1).

The event, at 7.30pm at St John’s Church in Bromsgrove, will be a real treat for classical music lovers.

Among the pieces being performed are some of best-loved vocal, instrumental and orchestral works, including Symphony No 36, Linz, Comme Scoglio (Cosi fan Tutte), Ach, ich Fuhls (Magic Flute) Alleluia only from Exsultate and Jubilate.

It will be a rare opportunity for people to immerse themselves in the music of Mozart which will be enhanced by the historic church’s excellent acoustics.

The soloists for the evening include Charlotte Moseley (violin) and Claire Prewer (soprano) with Richard Jenkinson conducting.

It follows on from the very successful MusicFest in July which saw more than 400 people attend three concerts. Among them were 40 children who were admitted free of charge.

Tickets, which are £10 in advance or £12 on the door, are available in person at the Artrix box office, or online at Accompanied children attend free of charge.”
