Artrix brings on the good times with its Family Fun Festival

WITH SCHOOL out for summer, Artrix’s Family Fun Festival will soon be getting under way with a packed first week.

From Monday (July 25) to next Friday (July 29) there will be a Back to the 60s stage school. The fun-packed week of singing and dancing will lead up to a full-scale theatre show on the Friday, led by Mel Dykes, Artrix’s Youth Theatre director.

The sessions are 10am to 4pm each day with the show on the Friday at 7pm. It is suitable for those aged from six to nine and from ten to 17 and the week costs £120. Tickets for the show are £8 (£6 concessions).

Next Friday (July 29), the Club Creative Day will be Film Friday. The full day of creative fun – suitable for those aged between seven and 11 – will take place from 10am to 4pm and is £30 and those who go along may even get to star in their own film.




Other activities include a movie characters pottery work from 10am to midday and between 1pm and 3pm (£5 admission), Magic Russ between 10.30am and 11.15am (£5/£4 concessions), the UNlimited Dance Workshop with Fi Hay between 1pm and 2pm (£5) and the talent show from 2pm to 3pm – entry to that is free.

Drop-in activities on the Fridays include a free bouncy castle, face painting (small fee), free craft activities from 10.30am to 3pm and free balloon modelling from 11.45am to 12.45pm.
